MERALCO finally rediscovered its fiery form in time as it repulsed Barangay Ginebra, 94-81, to pull a game back in their PBA Governors’ Cup Finals series on Wednesday night in front of a huge crowd at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
The Bolts team that finished on top after the eliminations and swept Star in the semifinals showed up late in the game where they banked on a late 11-0 salvo to turn the game around and reduce the Gin Kings’ lead in the best-of-seven series to 2-1.
“The game becomes a lot easier if we knock down shots,” Bolts coach Norman Black said. “A lot of credit goes to Reynel who made a lot of shots.”
