Gilas goes on a third-quarter rampage to beat Iraq, 84-68.

Propelled by a huge third-quarter salvo, the Gilas Pilipinas picked up its second victory in the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup after overpowering Iraq, 84-68, on Friday night at the Nouhad Nawfal Sports Complex in Beirut, Lebanon.

After a lackluster first half, Gilas’ dangerous form showed up after the halftime as they imposed disruptive defense and repeatedly pounded the opponents on offensive end to turn a 32-31 second quarter lead to a 60-40 advantage heading into the final frame.
