San Miguel vs Blackwater 2015 Philsports Arena Nov 11, 2015 - Philippine Cup The 2015–16 PBA season will be the 41st season of the Philippine Basketball Association. The league will continue to use the three-conference format, starting with the Philippine Cup.
The Commissioner’s Cup and the Governors’ Cup are the second and third conferences in the upcoming season.

This season will also be the first season of Chito Narvasa as the PBA commissioner Chito Salud announced his resignation at the end of the 2014–15 season.

Salud, however, will remain with the PBA as he will be the new President and CEO of the league.
The first event of the season was the 2015 PBA draft which was held on August 23.

The defending champion San Miguel Beermen allowed Blackwater hang tough for most of the game but got the big plays when they needed it to put away the Elite, 93-83, in the SMART BRO PBA Philippine Cup on Wednesday at the Philsports Arena.

Reigning back-to-back MVP June Mar Fajardo had 20 points and 13 rebounds in the win, although he had five turnovers and missed seven of his 11 free throw attempts.

Marcio Lassiter also came up big, scoring 20 points, including an impressive 4-for-5 shooting clip from three-point range, to go with nine rebounds, five assists and three steals. Alex Cabagnot added 15 markers, including five in the last three and a half minutes.
