Stanley Pringle scored a game-winning layup right before the time expired as the GlobalPort Batang Pier prevailed in a shootout over the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, 113-111, in the SMART BRO PBA Philippine Cup Friday at PhilSports Arena.

With 14 seconds left, Pringle milked the clock and drove to the basket, shrugging off the outstretched arms of three defenders as he converted the game-winning layup.

Referees ruled that there was still 0.5 of a second left on the clock, opening the door for another play for Rain or Shine, But Jeff Chan’s jumper fell short as GlobalPort handed the Elasto Painters (3-1) their first loss of the season.
