The Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters and the Kia Carnival fight for their tournament lives as they face off in a crucial PBA Governors’ Cup game on Friday at SMART-Araneta Coliseum.Talk ‘N Text and Kia meet at 4:15 p.m. before the second game between the NLEX Road Warriors and the Blackwater Elite. Both the Tropang Texters and the Carnival are trying to keep their playoff hopes alive. Talk ‘N Text, the Commissioner’s Cup champions, is in danger of getting eliminated as it currently shares the ninth spot with Ginebra for having 4-6 slates.
In the second game, NLEX also hopes to remain in the playoff hunt, albeit slim, against the already-eliminated Blackwater.
The Road Warriors are at 11th place with a 2-7 card, and the only way for NLEX to get through is for them to win their next two matches and hope they prevail in the quotient game in case they figure in a logjam for the last quarterfinal spots.
Dead last with a 1-8 slate, the Elite failed to advance to the playoffs for the first three conferences of their debut season.
