GAME PLAY SUMMARY...
Andre Emmett had 31 points, but it was Gary David's 23-point output handed the Meralco Bolts a 106-95 overtime win against the San Miguel Beermen on Saturday at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum."It's a good bounce back win for us. We just want to get back on track again," said Meralco head coach Norman Black. "I thought our locals played much better with Emmett tonight. It's a big win for us since you need to win every game in the elims. I thought our defensive game was sound. The least you want is to go down 0-2."
The Bolts outplayed the Beermen in extra time, hitting 15 points while allowing just four.
Reynel hugnatan and Cliff Hodge had 10 each as starters, while Rey Guevarra chipped in 11 off the bench.
Arizona Reid struggled from the field for San Miguel, scoring just 13 points, leaving June Mar Fajardo to carry the load with 22 points and 16 rebounds. Arwind Santos had 14, while Marcio Lassiter came off the bench for 13 markers.
