Johnson scored 50 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in his Barangay Ginebra debut but it wasn't enough against a cohesive Alaska unit that led the whole way through.
Romeo, Travis, had 34 points and 16 rebounds while Dondon Hontiveros and RJ Jazul both finished in double figures to back him up.
Alaska enjoyed a hot start, scoring the first 14 points of the ballgame. Nine of those came from Travis, including the first seven, while JVee Casio added a three-pointer and Sonny Thoss chipped in with two free throws. They rode that momentum to a 29-12 advantage after the opening period.
They pushed that lead to a high of 22 points, 39-17, early in the second quarter.
But the Kings were able to come back to as close as two points, 60-58, in the third period.
The Aces, though, managed to push their lead back up to 15 points in the fourth before weathering another late Ginebra rally that fell short in the end.
